FEAST – DAY OF HIS EMINENCE ARCHBISHOP NIKITAS CELEBRATED AT OUR CHURCH 15 SEPTEMBER 2023
Λαμπρά εορτάστηκαν τα ονομαστήρια του Σεβασμιωτάτου Αρχιεπισκόπου Θυατείρων και Μεγάλης Βρεταννίας κ. Νικήτα, στον Ι. Ναό Αγίων Αντωνίου του Μεγάλου και Ιωάννου του Βαπτιστού στο Hollloway του Λονδίνου, την Παρασκευή, 15 Σεπτεμβρίου 2023.
Ο Σεβασμιώτατος χοροστάτησε στη Θεία Λειτουργία που ετέλεσε ο Αρχιμ. κ. Βησσαρίων Κοκλιώτης μετά του Διακόνου κ. Nikita Banev, οι οποίοι εόρταζαν επίσης.
Συμπροσευχόμενοι παρέστησαν οι Θεοφιλέστατοι Επίσκοποι Μελιτηνής κ. Μάξιμος και Κλαυδιουπόλεως κ. Ιάκωβος, ο Πρωτοσύγκελλος της Ι. Αρχιεπισκοπής Αρχιμ. κ. Νήφων Τσιμαλής, κληρικοί, Άρχοντες του Οικουμενικού Θρόνου και ευσεβείς πιστοί.
Τον Σεβασμιώτατο προσφώνησε εκ μέρους των Επισκόπων, του κλήρου και του λαού, ο Θεοφιλέστατος Επίσκοπος Μελιτηνής κ. Μάξιμος, ο οποίος μεταξύ άλλων υπογράμμισε: “We heard in the Gospel today that Jesus spoke to His disciples, saying, “If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you.” However, we know, Your Eminence, that His disciples and followers loved Jesus and shed their blood for Him. Similarly, the faithful people here at the Thyateira Church love you and follow you devotedly”.
Ο Αρχιεπίσκοπος ευχαρίστησε τον Επίσκοπο Μελιτηνής και το ποίμνιο για τις θερμές ευχές τους και ανταπέδωσε καταλλήλως.
Ακολούθησε κέρασμα για όλους στην αίθουσα της Κοινότητος.

On Friday, 15th September 2023, the feastday of St. Nikitas the Great-Martyr, the patronal feast of The Archbishop, His Eminence Archbishop Nikitas of Thyateira and Great Britain presided during the celebration of the Divine Liturgy at the Holy Church St. Anthony the Great in Holloway, London. The Sacred Service was celebrated by the V. Rev. Archimandrite Vissarion Kokkliotis assisted by the Rev. Dn. Dr. Nikita Banev. At the conclusion of the Liturgy, His Eminence blessed the Festal Loaves and the kollyva in honour of the St. Nikitas, which after, His Grace Bishop Maximos of Melitene conveyed to The Archbishop the collective nameday greetings and best wishes of the clergy and laity of the Archdiocese on this special day. His Eminence responded by thanking the clergy the laity for their warm and openhearted demonstration of love and respect on his patronal feast, and commended the local congregation for the wonderful service which was celebrated with simplicity, prayerfulness and humility. Among those in attendance was His Grace Bishop Iakovos of Claudiopolis, a plethora Archdiocesan clergy and dozens of faithful. A hospitable reception was offered by His Eminence to all those in attendance in the community hall.
